Pano Thingy

Pano Thingy

Pano Thingy is a simple panorama/ stitching utility which at the moment is limited to processing 2 images at a time.
It was my first major application build on Netbeans Platform and was developed in order to become a certified Netbeans engineer.
The "Certified Engineers Course" was held by Jaroslav Tulach and Geertjan Wielenga at the Johannes Kepler University of Linz and was hosted by the Institute for System Software where I received by bachelor's degree from. The initial idea and the algorithm for stitching the images came up in my Geometry course at the Institute of Geometry, Graz University of Technologie.
Finally, Jaroslav Tulach suggested to make Pano Thingy available as an extension to the existing Netbeans Image Module. So perhaps my work will flow into the Netbeans main development branch some time. In the meantime Pano Thingy and its source codes are available from the corresponding project website under terms of the GPL v2.
